Reporting to the Sr. VP Client Services, the Manager, Client Services manages the Commissionaires Security Business Unit in delivering professional security services to commercial and government clients throughout the Lower Mainland.

Job Profile

  • Contribute to the success of the organization by providing complete client satisfaction to retain current business and by selling services to current clients and new businesses
  • Build and support high-performance teams through the effective leadership and management of people
  • Contribute to the successful operation of the organization through the proactive sharing of information
Required Education, Qualifications and Experience
  • Hold a Bachelors Degree in Criminology or related field, or equivalent education and experience
  • Certified Protection Professional (CPP) or other recognized professional security certification preferred
  • 10 years experience in the security industry with 3-5 years at management level in security industry or a related field; experience working with Commissionaires an asset
  • Holds a valid BC Driver’s licence, clean driver’s abstract
  • Capable of being security cleared by Federal Departments/Agencies
  • Knowledge of WorkSafe BC legislation and regulations
  • Knowledge of security legislation, regulations, and protocol
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • No criminal record related to violence, weapons, dishonesty, morals or illegal substances
  • Work a flexible shift pattern when needed to ensure client service, site support, management, training and development is maintained for all shifts and with all Operations Centre employees
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
  • Exceptional  acumen and client service skills
  • Ability to effectively identify and sell security services
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively lead, mentor and motivate teams
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct legally compliant and thorough investigations (performance, WorkSafe BC, site incidents, etc.)
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to think logically, analyze information and effectively problem solve balancing needs of client and your employees
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and work under pressure in a dynamic work environment
