OVERVIEW

The Point Leader has a key role in screening operations, as the front line supervisor who sets and example for screening officers and resolves any issues as they arise. Point Leaders coordinate, guide, and monitor the screening process ensuring and efficient and effective operation.

JOB PROFILE

  • As well as working as a Screening Officers, the duties and responsibilities of a Point Leader include, but are not limited to the following.
  • Supervising and coaching Screening Officers;
  • Responding to any issues that come up with equipment and passengers;
  • Testing the equipment used at the screening operation;
  • Preparing various operational reports;
  • Coordinating the implementation of emergency and contingency procedures;
  • Assisting authorities with any investigations;
  • Evaluating the performance of other Screening Officers.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Valid Transport Canada Clearance;
  • Valid Point Leader Certification;
  • Strong customer service;
  • Strong conflict resolution skills;
  • Strong communication skills both written and spoken with the ability to provide clear, detailed documentation;
  • The ability to work shift work;
  • A clean criminal background;

Preference will be given to candidates who have valid First Aid certification and to those who have completed a Super Host course.
