Overview
Commissionaires BC is looking for versatile and highly motivated security professionals to augment our team in Prince Rupert. As a successful candidate you must be:
- Physically fit, highly reliable, have excellent interpersonal and verbal communications skills;
- Able to pass a criminal background check and Enhanced Security Clearance. (no exceptions).
Job Profile
Under the direction of Operations Management, the commissionaire will follow established post orders indicative to the site and location
- Conduct Mobile Patrol
- Foot Patrol
- Monitor and manipulate surveillance cameras
- Administrative duties
Commissionaires BC is an active participant in the Lone Worker Program for all employees working alone.
Confidentiality is a must, along with providing superior customer service, security, and protection to clients and the client’s property and assets .
Required Education, Qualifications and Experience
- BST and Valid BC Security License or willing to obtain in a timely manner (see JIBC (Justice Institute) for on-line course;
- Must have above average computer skills, due to scope and nature of work;
- Military or RCMP experience is an assets.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English;
- Ability sit for extended periods of time and observe cameras;
- Strong attention to detail;
- Leadership skills.
