Roger HarberRoger Harber is a 26-year veteran of the Canadian Forces (CF) with a broad range of skills including materials control, operations management, strategic planning, administration, safety, and organization. During his years of service, he was posted in Trenton, Ontario (10 years), Beausejour, Manitoba (7 years), Calgary, Alberta (two years), Cold Lake, Alberta (8 years) and in the Middle East (six months).

Roger is a recipient of the Canadian Forces Decoration (with bar), United Nations Disengagement Observer Force Medal - Israel/Syria, and the United Nations Peacekeeping Medal. In addition to acquiring numerous certifications and completing many different courses, he has volunteered as a firefighter, community councillor, member of a ground search and rescue team, safety coordinator, and drug and alcohol education coordinator.

After sustaining a neck injury during a Tactical Airlift Exercise while serving in Edmonton, Alberta, and after suffering substantial hearing loss during his flying tour while deployed in the Middle East, Roger retired from the CF in 1992. He then transitioned to a civilian job in the private sector.

In 1996, Roger approached Commissionaires BC looking for a change—and to reconnect with others who could relate to his past experiences. He served as a security guard for the first two years, and was promoted to Site Supervisor of Canada Revenue Agency where he served for five years. Since 2003, he has excelled in a variety of management level positions related to Security Services, Airport Services, Enforcement Services, and Operational Resources. Today, he is a senior trainer working in Commissionaires BC’s new state-of-the-art training facility in Surrey, British Columbia.
