David Anderson

Trainer

David AndersonAs a trainer at Commissionaires BC, David Anderson brings a wealth of experience in developing people’s potential. He has always strived to teach people how to acquire better life skills and achieve better workload management.

Upon his arrival in Canada, he worked for both Zales and DeBeers. While at DeBeers, David worked on brand awareness and the popular “Diamonds are Forever” campaign. Having a strong passion for branding, David travelled across Canada facilitating  product knowledge workshops, conducting focus groups and marketing research furthering the DeBeers campaign.

Wanting to give back to the retail community, David accepted a position working with a co-op of independent retailer to help grow membership, and implement a strong brand initiative. Through his efforts, the co-op was able to create a stronger brand presence in their individual markets and instil greater confidence in their customers.

Leaving the co-op, David and a partner started a consulting firm which they subsequently divided. Heading up the western division and concentrating on BC, David repositioned himself with a focus on coaching and training. David has instilled in his clients the benefits of humour in the workplace, how to handle difficult customers, and how to communicate effectively both verbally and electronically.

David joined Commissionaires BC in 2008. In 2010, he became a trainer where his love of people and training comes through in the way he conducts his courses and workshops. Students are empowered to: Decide—by defining their purpose and establishing goals; Do—by focusing on their resources, managing workload priorities and measuring the effects, and; Deliver—by owning the performance and influencing the participants through continued improvement.

David teaches Basic Security Training and the SERVICE ADVANTAGE course, as well as workshops when requested.
