Marian Gushue-Geiger

Marian brings over 25 years of experience in a variety of settings to her roles as Human Resources Manager and Trainer at Commissionaires BC. Marian uses her strong interpersonal skills to encourage the professional development of those she works with. In her work she has created and facilitated presentations on leadership and communication, conducted performance appraisals; organized fundraisers, career fairs and employee appreciation events; and presented on company initiatives used to attract and retain employees. Her comprehensive training expertise is complemented by her understanding of human nature, allowing her to provide guidance and leadership that result in significant employee contributions.
Marian is very active with BC Human Resources Management Association, and is a member of BC Human Resources Advisories Council for the Southern Interior Region. Marian joined Toastmasters in 1998 and achieved the highest level, Distinguished Toastmaster, in 2009. She credits Toastmasters for her excellent communication, leadership and presentation skills. Marian has a motto for the psychology of Toastmasters: Leaders helping leaders. And it is this motto that guides Marian in her interactions with people, empowering them through her work at Commissionaires.
