Barry Heselgrave Appointed Chairman of the Board of Governors, Commissionaires BC

June 16, 2005, Vancouver, BC — Commissionaires BC has appointed Barry Heselgrave as Chairman of the Board. This appointment will help Commissionaires BC reinforce its market leadership. ”I am confident this change will help the organization advance to the next level”, said Allen Batchelar, President and CEO.

Barry Heselgrave has served on the Board of Commissionaires BC for more than 12 years. He brings with him a wealth of experience and knowledge in the areas of strategic planning, leadership and change management, both nationally and globally. Heselgrave’s career commenced with the Canadian Armed Forces in the early 1960s. After that he worked with IBM, Simon Fraser University, Crown Zellerback Canada Ltd., Business Telecom Equipment and Russell & DuMoulin. Positions held included Sales, Systems and Computer Management, Director of Strategic Planning, General Manager and Chief Operating Officer.

In 1994, he formed his own consulting company and in 1996 was appointed President of Fraser Surrey Docks, a position he held for four years while providing management and consulting services to other successful organizations. Today Heselgrave is still active in providing consulting services in the areas of strategic and succession planning, supply chain management, third party logistics, outsourcing and business restructuring.
