BST at Lexxon is a practical, week-long security training course, following the official curriculum. Lexxon is approved to offer this course by the Justice Institute of BC and offers useful, real-world skills to security professionals.
The rigorous standards that Lexxon trains to go beyond the prescribed course requirements. Our trainers are seasoned security professionals and will offer you practical, real-life insights that will help you succeed in your new profession.
Our trainers are invested in your success in the security guard training course. They carefully monitor the progress of each participant and provide personal support to ensure everyone passes the test at the end of the week.
After completing this security guard training class, you will hit the ground running—armed with the security guard training and know-how to manage real-life security scenarios.
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
The Basic Security Training (BST) course teaches students the roles and responsibilities of a security worker. Participants will learn the basic elements of private security, the rights and responsibilities of a security professional, reporting requirements as well as personal safety techniques. The two hour mandatory exam at the end of the course is made up of 100 multiple choice, true / false questions. Lexxon provides a free, half-day review the morning of the exam for participants who wish to attend.

The BST course, through Lexxon Training is the right choice for you if you are 19 years or older and:
- you want to work as a security guard, body guard or in-house security person
- your job function demands security awareness or the protection of people or property
