Applying for or renewing your security licence?
If you are an individual applying for your security licence for your security guard licence or any other license types, Commissionaires BC can help. According to the BC Security Services Act, individuals in some security related positions are now responsible for directly obtaining and holding a security licence. Our knowledgeable, friendly commissionaires can provide cost-effective assistance with security licence renewals or applications. We will:

- Take a passport-quality photograph;
- Photocopy your ID;
- Capture fingerprints and submit form for processing;
- Ensure the checklist is complete and the application is ready to send;

Need Basic Security Training (BST) to obtain your security licence?
Basic Security Training (BST) may be needed to obtain certain types of security licences, including a security guard licence. Commissionaires offers the new five day BST training for security licensing at our Vancouver and Kelowna facilities. Our highly experienced instructors, along with our reputation as a leader in security for over 80 years, ensure the highest possible standards in security training. Application Process
We want to make sure your experience is a pleasant one. Our respectful and friendly staff members are the experts in providing fingerprinting and application services. To speed up the process, please ensure you have the correct identification, as well as copies of any training certificates you require to be licensed.
Identification Required
You must have two pieces of valid government issued identification and one must be a photo ID. The following are types of acceptable identification:
- Passport
- Citizenship Card or Document
- Immigration Document (i.e., Landing Papers)
- Birth Certificate
- Drivers Licence
- Health Card
- Permanent Resident card or Record of Landing for Citizenship Applicants
- Government ID

Fingerprinting submission only: $35 plus GST
